Alison Mars - Biography

Diploma in Art (Edin). Drawing & Painting

Originally having studied Drawing & Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, I now paint more in ceramic mediums, often combining the disciplines, to produce unusual and exciting work. Working in Cumbria, mainly in paint and ceramics, I have taken part in exhibitions locally and in Scotland.

I am interested in shapes and colours derived from natural sources, whether that be sky or foliage or people, and using that as a starting point to create and compose unusual ceramic paintings.
